Ann was perfectly correct when she spoke about making a decision about hosted versus self-hosted, or free blog platforms in her 3 things to do from the very start post last week. She seems to think that a self hosted blog gives a blogger more respectability, and I think for the most part I agree. But there is an exception to every rule and this one is for you Ann!

Knowing Ann like I do she has probably been following this lady for a long time and I’ll come off looking like an idiot. Oh well, wouldn’t be the first time!. Anyway, she goes by the pen name Ms. Ileane Speaks and she is one of the best resources for new and experienced bloggers online today, being especially good at instructing new bloggers in how to navigate their way through the Blogosphere, using all the tips, shortcuts and those fascinating little tricks she knows to help bloggers gain authority in their niches and ways to improve page rank and increase traffic.

The Internet can be a place of great reward and self-fulfillment for those that are willing to put in the effort and time.  It’s not a place for the faint of heart. Ms. Ileane is one of those talented folk who can teach just about anyone to blog successfully and have fun doing it. She helped me a lot when I was looking for guidance and everything she taught me worked  like a charm.

She is a writer, a podcaster, a prolific commentator, and a skilled blogger. She is also living proof that a free blog platform, in her case, WordPress.com does nothing to indicate she is anything other than a serious blogger. She talks about that very subject on her blog quite often.

Her videos will demystify even the most complicated-looking apps, breaking them down into only what parts are necessary, having the viewer on their way in no time, armed with new blogger knowledge and ready to Blog Engage.

This was a nice thing to see in my inbox. Thanks for all of the kind words and it really means a lot to know that my tutorials are helpful. I run a few blogs on various platforms and I find WordPress.com to be my favorite. For many “blogging success” means a earning a 6 figure income by monetizing their blogs. I say – go for it if that’s your goal. But please don’t clutter your blog with so many ads that your content is buried “below the fold”.

For me serious blogging is providing useful content and connecting with other bloggers with similar interests. I learn as I go and share as much knowledge as I can.

    Thanks for this!
